BaseRate Health is an independent healthcare price transparency directory. Our mission is to make the cost of medical care in the United States clear, searchable, and easy to understand for all patients.

Under federal price transparency regulations, hospitals are required to publish machine-readable files containing the rates they negotiate with commercial insurance plans, as well as their cash discount prices. We ingest, structure, and compare these files side-by-side with federal Medicare reimbursement rates, giving patients the benchmarks they need to avoid surprise bills and negotiate fair rates.
